Maharashtra is the state of saints like Tukaram, Nyaneshvar, Eknath etc. and a great king like Shivaji Maharaj who kept the Marathi language alive.
Marathi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken predominantly by Maharashtrians. It is the official language and co-official language in Maharashtra. Marathi ranks 19th in the list of most spoken languages in the world. Marathi Day is celebrated on 27 February, the birthday of poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar.
27 फेब्रुवारी हा दिवस मराठी भाषा दिवस म्हणून संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात मोठ्या उत्साहात साजरा केला जातो. मराठी साहित्यकार कुसुमाग्रज यांच्या जन्मदिवसाच्या निमित्ताने मराठी भाषा दिवस साजरा केला जातो. महाराष्ट्राची राज्यभाषा मराठी आहे. आणि मराठी भाषेत प्रचंड गोडवा आहे.
Plain Speaking in Marathi for Class 4 was held on August 7, 2026 in our school auditorium. The student class poem followed by group and individual poems and the story, the student recited their part with great confidence, used good expression and correct pronunciation. They overcame their stage fear. Parents were invited to encourage their children. They too enjoyed looking at their children reciting their part so confidently with expressions up on stage.
The whole programme was a great success.
