The Inter-House Dramatics Competition, 2026 was held with great enthusiasm and
artistic fervour on Friday, 21st August, 2026 in the School Auditorium.
It was held in the first and Second Sessions of the School Timetable.
The theme of the dramatics competition took the audience which comprised of their
contemporary classmates, parents of the various casts and guests, back to the Popular
Classics, with each house given a script to bring to life on stage, by their House Teachers.
However, the students added their creativity, humour, and imagination to reshape these
familiar stories into something fresh and exciting with a twist.
The event was a celebration of talent, creativity, teamwork and expression.
The competition witnessed the participation of the four houses of the school, each
presenting a classic play of a distinct genre, showcasing the versatility and confidence of
our students.
The order of performances was as follows:
White House:
A Horror Story – The Monkey’s Paw
The story is about the White family, a magical monkey’s paw and three wishes granted
to three different people.
The story had three morals for the audience:
1. Be careful what you wish for.
2. Do not interfere with fate.
3. Greed can lead to tragedy.
Red House:
A Comedy – The Proposal!
A delightful comedy where love meets ego, a proposal becomes a battle, and every
argument brings us closer to an unexpected ending.
Green House:
A Family Drama – The Dear Departed
When old man Merryweather’s passes away, the family gathers to grieve over his death.
Here, the true colours of the family members is seen and they are later appalled by his
‘will”.
Blue House –
A Murder Mystery – Sorry, wrong number!
One little “Hello?” opens the door to something never meant to hear. A voice, a secret
and a chilling conversation. It’s no ordinary phone call. It is this call that changes
everything.
The performances were judged by a distinguished panel of judges:

After careful evaluation based on criteria such as speech, confidence, expression,
character portrayal, dialogue delivery, effective use of props and sound/light dynamics
etc., the results were declared:
The Green House secured the ‘First Place’.
The Red House was awarded the ‘Second Place’.
In the ‘Third Place’ ranked the White House and ….
The Blue House acquired the ‘Fourth Place’.

From each of the four houses, the following students were acknowledged as
‘Best Actors’:
Green House – Nuha Qureshi
Red House – Arjeanne Jain
White House – Vihan Tisson
Blue House – Anosh Irani
Master Bilal Pathan was awarded the overall ‘Best Actor’.

The competition concluded with critical feedback from the judges, and an encouraging
address by the Principal, Mr. Elias Martin Coelho, who congratulated all the
participants, the House and Drama Teachers and the staff who helped in the tech-box,
for their dedicated efforts. He emphasized that dramatics builds confidence, empathy
and leadership in students.
The event was compered efficiently by Master Arnav Kartha and Master Kayaan Daboo
of Class XI, ISC Section.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Nandini Basu, Coordinator of the ISC
Section.
Tokens of appreciation were given to the judges by Ms. Cheryl Colaco and Ms. Joan
Dias, the coordinators of the Secondary Section.
On the whole, it was indeed a memorable day that brought alive the stage and left the
audience inspired.
