We are responsible to our planet Earth and together we can make a difference to nurture and save our mother Earth. These were the sentiments reflected in the assembly conducted by the students of class 4-3 on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024 on the topic – Earth day. The students spoke about how the world has been coming together since 1970 to celebrate World Earth Day on 22nd April . This year, the main focus was on how the excessive use of plastic has been affecting our planet. They elucidated on the ways in which the ocean life has been affected because of plastic. It is a nonbiodegradable substance which is being dumped into our oceans. Along with highlighting the problem, they spoke about ways in which we can bring about effective change by reducing and recycling. The assembly ended with a song highlighting the plastic war.
