St. Mary’s School (ICSE, ISC & International) celebrated its Annual Awards Day on Saturday, 25 July 2026, under the theme “Still I Rise,” honouring excellence in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities while celebrating the values of courage, perseverance, and hope.
The event was graced by our Director Rev. Fr. Yohan Alphonso; Administrator, Fr. Savio Fernandes; Principal Mr. Elias Coelho; Chief Guests ,Mr. Somnath Gorakhnath Sankpal and Mrs. Nilam Sankpal, Mr. Clifford D’Souza and Mrs. Sneha D’Souza; and Mr. Bhavin Shah, CEO & Director of EducationWorld and Parents World, as the Guest of Honour.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a prayer service, the school anthem, and the felicitation of Mr. Bhavin Shah.
A defining highlight of the morning was the presentation of the inaugural St. Mary’s Alumni Association Award for Holistic and Human Excellence to Master Divyansh Atman (posthumously), Master Vedant Parikh, and Master Ilyaan Shaikh, recognising their extraordinary courage, resilience, and strength of character. The annual school report was then creatively showcased through a vibrant semi-musical inspired by the theme.
This was followed by the intermission where the PTA had taken a novel initiative of running counters serving a variety of food preferences which was lauded by all. The intermission was followed by a heartfelt valedictory address. delivered by the outgoing captain of class 10. This was followed by inspiring messages from Rev. Fr. Yohan Alphonso and Mr. Somnath Sankpal, after which the Chief Guests were felicitated.
The awards ceremony honoured outstanding achievers in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities, recognising students whose dedication and excellence brought laurels to the school.
The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by our Senior School Academic Coordinator, Ms. Cheryl Colaco, and the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired by the enduring message that with courage and determination, we can always rise above every challenge.
