Dear parents,

The Inter-House Debates for classes 9 and 10 was held in the third session of school on  28th August, 2019.

 

Lots had been drawn in school, according to which Blue House was to oppose Green House and White House was to oppose Red House.

 

Debate Officials:

Manas Garg of class 10-1 was the compere for the debate.

The debate was chaired by Arush Agarwal of class 10-1.

Aryaman Kalani of class 10-1 was the time keeper.

 

  1. The topic for Green vs. Blue House was:

Artificial Intelligence is a boon to humanity or a likely threat to its exixtence.

Green House was the proposition and the Blue House was in the opposition.

 

The Green House (Proposition) was represented by the following students:

1) Ojas Binayke (Captain)

2) Kavish Soningra

3) Rhythm Jogani

4) Kushan Javeri

 

The Blue House (Opposition) was represented by the following students:

1) Dhruv Khiani (Captain)

2) Naman Shah

3) Param Gogia

4) Ameya Dalal

 

The winning team was the Blue House and the Opposition team were the winners.

Ojas Binayke (Captain) from the Blue House was adjudged the Best speaker.

 

  1. The topic for the White House vs. the Red house was:

Obsession with Cricket is the reason for India’s poor show at the international sporting competition.

The Red House proposed the notion and the White House opposed it.

 

The Red House was represented by:

1) Enrico Rodriguez (Captain)

2) Pratham Marfatia

3) Param Mehta

4) Rushil Gerald

 

The White House was represented by the following speakers:

1) Shreyans Jain(Captain)

2) Aarush Ranjan

3) Bezaan Shroff

4) Mrinmay Kumar

 

The winning team was the White House and the Proposition is lost.

Enrico Rodriguez (captain) from the Red House was adjudged the Best Speaker

The finals will be held at a later date between the Blue House and the Red House.

 

Judges:

The judges for the debates were Ms. Sabiha Umer, a teacher from St. Peter’s School, Mazagaon and Mr. Joseph Rose from Christ Church School. They were very impressed with the standard of debates in our school.
