Christmas is a feast wherein the spirit of Love, Joy and Peace abide. Christmas season is an occasion where family members, friends, associates get together and exchange warm wishes with gifts and goodies. It is specially a feast where we remember and help the poor, needy and the marginalised. The Pre Primary Section visited Shepherds Home for the Widows on 19th December 2018. It houses 13 aged inmates who welcomed us joyfully with their beautiful smiles.
The Preparatory Teachers conducted a couple of games, sang Christmas Carols and gifted each one of them a soft toy. The Kindergarteners made them sing and dance along with the teachers and shared their love with them. A few of our school children entertained them with an enchanting dance performance.
The students of the Pre-Primary made a contribution which was used to purchase some groceries, bed sheets, hand gloves, ear muffs and other utility items. These items were personally presented to them by our school boys. The inmates were overjoyed with our kind gestures and were overwhelmed with the performances of our students.
The inmates greatly appreciated our valuable time spent with them. They were very grateful to us for heralding the Christmas season. By this visit to the home for the aged widows, we participated and experienced the TRUE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS.
