The boys of the Kindergarten visited the Fire station at Byculla on 28th and 29th November 2019. They were eager to learn about a rescue operation, the equipment used by the firemen, the uniform and the safety gear that they wear.

The head officer conducted the lesson and explained to the boys how a rescue operation takes place. He also told the boys that there are different types of fire engines and each one is used respectively for a particular rescue operation. One of the firemen demonstrated how the hose pipe is used and also explained to the kids that the force of the water is stronger when the engine is revved up.

The firemen also showed the boys the equipment used by them and how a stranded person is carried while being rescued. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the experience and returned to school with a lot of information to discuss and share with their family.
