On Tuesday, 30th October 2018, our school celebrated Diwali – the festival of lights, before it closed for vacations.
The pre-primary enacted a skit highlighting the significance of Diwali followed by a cultural dance by the pre-primary teachers. This dance radiated joy with great glee.
The primary and the secondary school organised a party in each of their classes. Students brought a variety of snacks, which were shared thus inculcating a spirit of love ,joy and harmony.
The festive spirit of bonding and togetherness was manifested in the students participating in different games with plenty of singing, dancing and merry making.
Prizes were given to the winners of the housie, best dancer, best singer etc. and the students enthusiastically drew rangolis outside their classrooms and placed lamps to signify joy, happiness and the victory of light over darkness and ignorance.
The students left the school premises overjoyed with a mission to spread the light and be themselves small lights that illumine their homes and the city of Mumbai.
