The students of class 10 had an adventurous and informative educational trip in Geography to Mount Abu, Rajasthan from September 14, 2016 to September 18, 2016. The important places visited were Nakki lake, Toad Rock, Kodra Reservoir, the headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris etc. Apart from these, the students also had an opportunity to explore and learn more about the historic significance of the world famous Dilwara temples and the ancient caves in the Aravalis under the guidance of certified cave explorers and guides. Some of the students who were interested, also had the opportunity to visit the famous St. Mary’s School, run by the Christian Brothers.
The students also scaled the famous Guru Shikhar, the highest peak in the Aravali range of mountains and experienced the breath-taking view of Abu town and the surrounding settlements. At the end of the trip an inter-house quiz was organized to review the entire learning experience. The winning teams were awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals. The students were also taken to the local market where many of them shopped for souvenirs and other rarities of Rajasthan. It is needless to say that the students returned home with sweet memories that they would cherish for life.
